Because the main power board detects this flickering resistance at the connector joint, it turns the power output off and on instantly to prevent a thermal fire hazard—resulting in the picture coming and going continuously!
Step 2: The Repair Strategy—Replacing Joined Strips with Continuous Strips
When faced with a sparked LED connector, some quick-fix repair shops attempt a patch repair by soldering jumper wires straight across the burnt joint. We strongly advise against this hack!
Patching an old LED strip that has already suffered thermal stress only leads to another failure a few weeks down the line when nearby diodes burn out.
The Professional Fix:
We completely stripped out all the old factory 2-piece interconnected strips from the metal chassis and replaced them with brand-new, high-quality single-piece (continuous) LED backlight strips.

Zero Interconnection Joints: Single-piece strips run continuously from one side of the metal chassis to the other, eliminating the middle connector joint and preventing future spark points forever.
Even Electrical Current Flow: Continuous copper tracks deliver smooth, stable voltage to every single LED diode across the entire 43-inch span.
Superior Thermal Cooling: High-grade aluminum-backed strips pull heat away from the diodes much faster than cheap fiberglass (FR-4) strips, extending the operational lifespan of the TV by years.
Step 3: Installing and Bench Testing the New Backlight Array
Before putting the valuable LCD glass back onto the TV chassis, a thorough preparation and bench test must be conducted:
Clean Chassis Surface: Thoroughly clean out all accumulated dust, old adhesive tape residue, and black carbon spots from the aluminum metal backing plate.
Align the Reflector Sheet: Lay the white reflective paper neatly over the new LED lenses, ensuring that every optical dome protrudes cleanly through its designated cutout hole without warping the paper.
Power-On Light Check: Connect your external LED backlight tester or power up the TV's internal power supply to confirm that every light lens lights up evenly across all rows.
As demonstrated in the photo above, the optical diffuser sheets now illuminate with crisp, perfectly even white light. There are no flickering areas, dark shadows, or hot spots visible anywhere on the light bed!
Step 4: Final Panel Assembly & Display Testing
With the backlight system fully restored and verified, we proceeded with the careful reassembly of the 43-inch television:
Re-lay the optical diffuser sheets back onto the frame in their exact original sequence (bottom diffuser, middle prism sheet, top protective layer).
Carefully guide the 43-inch borderless glass panel back into the plastic side channel grooves. Ensure no corner of the glass is resting on top of a plastic lip before applying any pressure!
Secure the source PCB boards along the bottom frame and clip the ribbon cables safely back into place.
Fasten the back cabinet cover, plug in the AC power cord, and power on the system.
Results and Conclusion: Perfect Picture Restored!
The 43-inch television booted up instantly into the vibrant Wisdom Share Smart Cloud TV home menu interface. Color saturation is deep, contrast is crisp across all four corners, and most importantly—the screen flickering problem is 100% eliminated!
Pro Technician Tips for Long-Lasting TV Repairs:
Always Swap Full Sets: Never replace just one burnt LED diode or a single strip in a set. Always replace all backlight strips simultaneously so every diode ages at the exact same rate.
Adjust Backlight Settings in User Menu: Educate your customer to go into the TV picture settings menu and lower the Backlight level from 100% down to 75-80%. This small adjustment reduces operating temperature by nearly 30% while extending the operational lifespan of the new lights by several years.
